We will spend a full day seeing, and enjoying, some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Oahu during our tour of the island. Our journey will begin by following the Kalaniana’ole Highway which hugs the eastern coastline of the island. We will see the famous coastline sites of the Halona Blowhole and Makapu’u. Then, we will travel through the center of the island to the Pali Lookout point which is high above the coastline for a breathtaking view of the ocean and landscape below. Our next stop is the Dole Plantation where you’ll have a chance to shop and eat lunch. You will want to make sure to get a Dole soft serve ice cream! After lunch, we will drive the western coast of the island and see some of the most famous beaches in world which include Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, and the Banzai Pipeline. Dinner will be on the campus of Brigham Young University – Hawaii. Our hotel for the next four nights sits on the coastline near the Brigham Young University-Hawaii campus. Staying in Laie (North Shore), gives us a unique chance to get away from the noise and crowds of Honolulu, and step into a much quieter and more relaxed way of island living .While traveling, Tom Pettit will recount the incredible history of the Hawaiian Islands and the people who have lived there for centuries. Tom Pettit will also share the historical stories of the Church in the South Pacific Islands. Missionaries were first sent to the islands in 1844 and this history is full of fascinating accounts that will uplift and inspire you!  (Breakfast and Dinner provided)
